The Chargers wrapped up their preseason on Thursday night against the Rams. After the game, head coach Jim Harbaugh provided an update regarding kicker Cameron Dicker, who went to the blue medical tent early on.

Harbaugh revealed to reporters that Dicker is currently "working through something" physically, but did not mention exactly what it was. He was quick to temper any panic, emphasizing that the team is not deeply concerned and labeling the issue as "just something that came up tonight."

The reality of Dicker's minor ailment became evident late in the contest. Harbaugh disclosed that if the Chargers had driven into field-goal range for a potential game-winning opportunity in the final moments, punter JK Scott was fully prepared to step up and handle the place-kicking duties.

Before being held back as a precaution late in the game, Dicker put together a mixed performance. He missed a 49-yard field-goal attempt wide right exactly as time expired in the second quarter, but later rebounded in the third quarter to drill a 34-yard attempt and converted his lone extra-point opportunity of the night.

The minor health hiccup caps off what has been an uncharacteristically bumpy preseason stretch for Dicker. Widely regarded as one of the most accurate kickers in NFL history, he uncharacteristically missed two extra-point attempts over the course of three exhibition games.
