This week on the Five Heart Podcast, Minnie, Fred, and Greg have much to share as we are just nine days out from Husker Football.

Nebraska Volleyball opens their season at AT&T Stadium against the Florida Gators with $1 Million on the line. The match might be over before the show begins, but if not, we will keep you updated on the Huskers’ progress. By the way, check out the interview that host Minnie Hunt did with Andi Jackson. You can find it on Corn Nation’s YouTube channel.

When the conversation shifts to football, the topic of future scheduling takes root. With the CFP expansion, AD Troy Dannen announced that Nebraska will face Power 4 competition in their non-conference schedule. What teams will the Huskers face in 2028 and beyond?

As for the 2026 Cornhuskers, Glenn Thomas and Lonnie Teasley talked up the offense this week while announcing Anthony Colandrea as the 2026 Nebraska starting quarterback. Two running backs also spoke to media this week as freshman Jamal Rule and junior Mekhi Nelson each had a chance to talk. We learned that Rule picked up bowling unnaturally quickly, while Nelson took the summer to reflect and grow as a person after some accusations landed him in hot water.

This and more, as we’re just outside of a week until Nebraska Football. Join us and be a part of the greatest Husker community on the whole Internet!
