Penn State football is a little more than a week away.

In eight days, the Lions kick off at home against Marshall to begin the Matt Campbell era.

At the current time, there are two players listed as wearing No. 8 for the Lions, both transfers from Iowa State.

Senior linebacker Kooper Ebel has been a mainstay in Campbell’s lineup for the past two years in Ames. He has started 26 games and figures to be a starter in a week against the Thundering Herd.

Ebel has accumulated 14 tackles for loss, two sacks, and a force fumble to go along with his 146 tackles in the past two seasons.

Wide receiver Karon Brookins is also wearing No. 8. He’s a redshirt freshman who transferred to Penn State after a year with the Cyclones.

Penn State opens up in eight days.
