It's been a while since we checked in on Kansas State basketball interest Teke Deng.
The Wildcats were among the first schools to offer the Olathe North High center, who has since risen to four-star status. He's officially visiting the institution next weekend, per League Ready, after making a stop at Loyola Chicago over the next few days.

Deng visited Manhattan, KS, last month but is back for another tour. In his three high school State Tournament games, he averaged 19 points, 13 rebounds, and five blocks. Deng also received an offer from UNLV.
Most of Kansas State's frontcourt is underclassmen, including sophomore centers JT Rock and Pape N'Diaye. Big men aren't an immediate need, but adding depth could be essential, especially as Deng blossoms as a recruit. The frontcourt was exposed nearly all last season as injuries piled up.
Kansas State currently has only one commit in the next class, but that could expand with all the players the program has on its radar. Here are a few of the other prominent recruits it's kept in the loop:
David Cochran, Forward
Four-star power forward Davis Cochran, who currently attends Brentwood High School in Brentwood, TN, has narrowed Kansas State as one of his top institutions. The Wildcats are among the eight favorites to land him, joining schools like Tennessee, Cincinnati, and Virginia. Last season, Cochran averaged 22 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, 1.9 blocks, and one steal.
Malik Olajuwon, Guard
Malik Olajuwon currently attends Fort Bend Clements High School in Sugar Land, TX. Last season, he averaged 21.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks, per MaxPreps. Olajuwon also received offers from Texas Tech, TCU, and SMU. Houston will likely offer him as well, considering his father came out of the program a legend en route to being the top Draft pick in 1984.
Victor Aborowa, Forward
Victor Aborowa is a three-star forward who currently attends Andrews Osborne Academy High School in Willoughby, OH. Aborowa also received offers from South Florida, Robert Morris, and Oklahoma State. Wings are essential for Kansas State, especially after a season where a good chunk of its frontcourt was decimated by injury.
