The LSU Tigers find themselves making headlines for all the wrong reasons this month.
As more and more players who attended NFL training camps try and make their way back to college football, one man who suited up for LSU is making it clear he’s vehemently against this bizarre pipeline of talent.
Ex-LSU Lineman Breiden Fehoko Calls Out Tigers Fans
Head coach Lane Kiffin makes quite the entrance when he enters a program. Now, he finds himself in the midst of a thorny issue involving his school signing players who participated in NFL camps.
Fehoko, who was a part of the 2019 National Championship team, lambasted LSU fans for their willingness to be complicit and accept what Kiffin is doing in Baton Rouge.
“LSU fans have been disgusting. History is about to be rewritten negatively and the amount of LSU fans justifying this is [explicit]. Block me, I don’t care. This [explicit] ain’t right. Some people actually raised off good faith and morals. Nothing about this turns out good, watch,” Fehoko wrote in a fiery rant on social media.

For context, LSU signed former Ole Miss tight end Dae’Quan Wright, who was recently waived by the Cleveland Browns. The SEC promptly told LSU and Wright that he would not be eligible to play for the Tigers.
The conference, joined by the Big Ten and Big 12, moved to disallow players from returning to their respective conferences if they have professional experience.

Earlier this month, a Louisiana judge granted a select group of former college players a temporary restraining order, paving the way for them to play.
Fehoko’s issues are not only with his alma mater but also with the overall reaction of fans who want to justify the legal maneuvering, seeing no problem with a college team having players with professional experience.
The comments under the tweet are a mix of those who back Fehoko and a vocal section of LSU fans who care more about a championship run than what others consider the “right thing.”
As of this writing, despite their earlier objection, the SEC will allow Wright and others to enroll, to the cheers of fans and chagrin of critics. How this situation will affect LSU on the field remains to be seen. Yet, one alum doesn’t see things as positively as those supporting the program.
