The notoriously private radio personality revealed a major relationship milestone after years of keeping her romance out of the spotlight.
Angela Yee is officially engaged.
The longtime radio personality and “Lip Service” host has accepted a proposal from entrepreneur Tameek “Meek” Floyd, marking a major new chapter for the notoriously private media personality.
The engagement surfaced on social media following the seventh annual Angela Yee Day in Brooklyn. Floyd shared photos from what appears to have been a tropical getaway with Yee and friends, announcing the milestone with a heartfelt message.
“Locked it in with my best friend @angelayee,” Floyd wrote. “As individuals we’re great, together we’re unstoppable… Love You!!”
Yee, 50, has generally kept her romantic life away from the spotlight. In a 2019 interview with Essence, she confirmed she was dating someone but deliberately kept his identity private.
“What’s great about my boyfriend is that he’s really supportive of everything that I do and he’s so low key,” Yee said at the time, adding that she liked keeping her personal life out of the blogs.
Before Floyd, Yee was linked to rapper Vado. She later told Essence that their relationship never developed into anything serious and that the two remained on good terms.
“I don’t even look at it like that’s my ex-boyfriend,” she said of Vado, explaining that they had gone out a few times years earlier.
The engagement therefore represents a significant shift for Yee, who has long preferred to let her professional work speak louder than her relationships.
Yee currently hosts the nationally syndicated “Way Up With Angela Yee” and Angela Yee’s “Lip Service.” She previously spent 12 years as a co-host of The Breakfast Club before leaving the show in 2023.
Now, after years of keeping romance largely behind the scenes, Yee has given fans something she once said they would be the first to know about: an engagement.
