Big Ten flip target considering official visit to FSU

The FSU Seminoles had several key target in Doak Campbell Stadium to watch their win over the New Mexico State Aggies in Week 0, and arguably the most important was four-star offenisve tackle Timi Aliu, who is committed to the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Despite that commitment, the Seminoles are looking to make a move in Aliu's recruitment, and this was his first time in Tallahassee since he attended their win over the Virginia Tech Hokies, they extended him a scholarship in January of this year. He told Warchant's Matt LaSerre that he is considering returning for an official visit, but nothing is guaranteed.

"It’s definitely something that me and the coaches have been talking about, and I’ll maybe try and come back for a OV, you never know," Aliu said.

He is ranked as the No. 270 overall player and No. 23 offensive tackle in the Rivals industry ranking. The Locust Grove product is also the No. 27 player from Georgia.

While it is always tough to pull off a flip, Aliu is an important target for the Seminoles, who do not have an offensive lineman committed in their 2027 recruiting class. That is the biggest weakness in their recruiting class and something offensive line coach Herb Hand has to address, even if he has done well in the transfer portal.
