ORLANDO — UCF completed a late move Saturday, Nov. 22, to secure a four-star quarterback among the 2026 high school class.
The Knights flipped Platte County (Mo.)’s 6-foot-4, 215-pound dual-threat Rocco Marriott from James Madison ahead of their home finale against Oklahoma State, as first reported by Rivals. Marriott made his second gameday visit of the season, joined this time by high school teammate Brooks Hall — a 6-foot-5, 225-pound tight end verbally committed to South Dakota.
Marriott has guided Platte County to a 12-0 record and the No. 4 overall ranking among Missouri high school teams according to MaxPreps. He is regarded as a top-30 quarterback prospect by both Rivals and 247Sports.

Marriott recently fielded offers from West Virginia and Missouri, where his father, Jeff, played from 1995-99 before being selected by the New England Patriots in the fifth round of the 2000 NFL draft.
In a Nov. 21 playoff win over Grain Valley, Marriott threw for 268 yards, ran for 98 yards and accounted for seven touchdowns.
UCF, at the moment, holds commitments from three incoming freshman quarterbacks. Minersville Area (Pa.)’s Dante Carr shut down his recruitment early and intends to sign Dec. 3, but Greenwood (Ark.)’s Kane Archer is trending more likely to sign elsewhere.
Archer took a visit to Utah this weekend, his agent Ron Slavin confirmed to The News-Journal.
