Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed takes shot at Texas

It’s long been known that Texas A&M and Texas don’t like each other.

It’s one of the top rivalries in college football and returned in 2024 after a 13-year hiatus. Texas won that game on the road 17-7 before beating Texas A&M at home last season 27-17.

Texas has won three in a row and five of its last six against Texas A&M going into the 2026 matchup, which will take place in College Station.

Aggies quarterback Marcel Reed is tired of losing to the Longhorns and said in an interview with USA Today’s Blake Toppmeyer that he “has something for them” this year.

“We don’t like Texas. I don’t like Texas,” Reed told Toppmeyer. “It sucks that we’ve lost to them twice. But they’re coming here this year, so they’re gonna have to pay. I’ve got something for them, for sure.”

Reed is ready for some payback against the Longhorns since he’s sick of losing to them. He had one of his worst games ever against them last year, finishing with 180 yards through the air, no touchdowns, and two interceptions.

Both the Aggies and Longhorns are expected to contend for the SEC and national title this season, so this promises to be a great contest when they meet on Nov. 27.

Kickoff for that game will be at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
