University of Utah Health is Utes’ football jersey patch sponsor

For the first time in program history, the University of Utah football team will wear a sponsorship patch on its jerseys, and the sponsor is a familiar name.
University of Utah Health, the healthcare system that incorporates five hospitals and 12 community health care centers across the state of Utah, has agreed to a deal to sponsor Utah’s jerseys.
The patch features a black University of Utah Health logo on a white background;.

University of Utah Health also has a logo on the Rice-Eccles Stadium field, which first appeared in the 2025 season.
The University of Utah Health patch will appear alongside another sponsorship patch — the Big 12 and Monster Energy logo. The conference signed a deal with the energy drink company for a co-branded patch on football and basketball jerseys and a logo on football fields and basketball courts that pays schools a reported $1 million per year.
The Utes also added a helmet sponsor — ALKEME Insurance’s logo will appear on the bumper of Utah’s helmets.

As schools try and keep up with the rising cost of college athletics, more and more athletic departments are finding any way they can to increase revenue, including jersey sponsorships.
BYU’s jersey is sponsored by Utah-based property management software company Entrata, while Kansas is sponsored by Ripple and Oklahoma State is sponsored by Native American tribe Osage Nation.
Even programs rooted in tradition like Notre Dame have given in to the new revenue stream as the Irish signed a deal with SoFi that reportedly pays the school $18-20 million per year.
