BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football’s week off didn’t impact its spot in the top 25 polls.

The Hoosiers (11-0, 8-0 Big Ten) ranked No. 2 for a sixth straight week in the US LBM Coaches Poll and AP Poll as they head into their regular season finale against Purdue at Ross-Ade Stadium looking to clinch a spot in the Big Ten title game. They can lock up a spot in the championship game with a win or with an Ohio State win.

They are one of three undefeated Power Four teams (Ohio State and Texas A&M) left in the country. The Buckeyes close out the regular season with a game against Michigan in Ann Arbor while Texas A&M faces Texas in Austin.

The top 11 spots in this week’s coaches poll remained unchanged and IU received seven first-place votes in the AP Poll.

Indiana was also at No. 2 in the latest set of College Football Playoff rankings with the top four teams in the rankings get a first-round bye. Based on the current rankings, IU would face the winner of a first-round game between No. 7 Oregon and No. 10 Alabama.
