OXFORD — Ole Miss football stayed steady in the polls.

Coach Lane Kiffin’s Rebels are ranked No. 6 in the US LBM Coaches Poll released Nov. 23. Ole Miss was No. 6 in the previous poll.

The Rebels (10-1, 6-1 SEC) are coming off an open week. That’s not to say it was boring. Kiffin was the center of major speculation regarding his future. LSU and Florida have emerged as teams vying to hire Kiffin for the 2026 season.

Per Ole Miss athletic director Keith Carter, an announcement about Kiffin’s future is expected on Nov. 29. It will be the day after the Egg Bowl against Mississippi State (5-6, 1-6 SEC) on Nov. 28 (11 a.m. ABC).

Kiffin did not comment about his future when asked whether he intends to coach at Ole Miss in 2026, other than saying he was not thinking about it.
