Art Briles' College Football Head Coaching Hiring Sparks Major Outrage

Art Biles is back in college football.
The former Baylor Bears head coach has landed a new head coaching job. Briles, who was Baylor's head coach from 2008-15, hasn't been a major college football head coach in roughly a decade. Briles was ousted from Baylor amid reports of failure to properly address sexual assault allegations against the program.
Briles has been coaching in high school and internationally, though he's now back in the college football world in an official capacity.
Briles has been hired by Eastern New Mexico. ESPN confirmed the news.
"Eastern New Mexico is expected to hire former Baylor coach Art Briles as the school’s next head coach, sources confirm to ESPN," Pete Thamel reported.
"Eastern New Mexico is a Division II school. Briles, 69, and Eastern New Mexico athletic director Kevin Fite have a relationship dating back to Briles’ tenure at the University of Houston, when Briles was head coach and Fite worked as compliance director."

College football fans ripping the hire
"Talk about a Sunday night news dump, my goodness This is absolutely pathetic. Art Briles should not coach in college football—at any level—again," one fan wrote.
"Gross, man," one fan added.
"I hope they fail miraculously," another fan wrote.
