LSU vs Clemson weather update: Lane Kiffin debut in lightning delay

There might not be a more highly anticipated college football game in Week 1 than No. 13 LSU's home game vs. Clemson.

That game will be at least temporarily delayed due to weather traveling through the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area. The Greenville News and Lafayette Advertiser, both part of the USA TODAY Network, report the game has entered into a lightning delay.

The game was originally scheduled to air nationally on ABC at 7:30 p.m. ET. It remains to be seen how long the delay will affect kickoff between the two Tigers teams.

6:45 p.m.: The Greenville News and Lafayette Advertiser report a weather delay from Tiger Stadium. A 90-minute clock leading up to kickoff has not yet started, which would monitor how soon the earliest the game could conceivably kick off (assuming no further delays due to weather).
