Fans want Lane Kiffin to ban LSU star who recorded ‘soft’ halftime talk during 51-10 Clemson blowout

LSU dominated Clemson in their SEC opener on Monday night, delivering a 51-10 blowout to start the season.
In an all-tiger clash, LSU completely obliterated Clemson from start to finish, putting on one of the most dominant displays in recent memory.
The game was well and truly over at halftime, with LSU up 31-3 against Clemson. But Lane Kiffin had a unique choice of words for his squad that spurred them on to continue the blowout.
Lane Kiffin’s aggressive halftime talk to LSU has fans in shambles
During halftime between LSU and Clemson, head coach Lane Kiffin spoke to his LSU players and urged them to continue playing hard despite being up 31-3.
One of the members present in the locker room recorded Kiffin’s profanity-laden team talk and shared it on social media for fans to see.
“Alright guys, we started here about seven or eight months ago, whatever it was. We asked you to work really hard. We asked you to come back to work again and again and again.
“Do you feel good about what happened?! Who gives a f— what happened! That was supposed to happen! Ain’t no f—— celebrations for that! They’re f—— soft! We’re going to show them again!
“They’re going to come out; it doesn’t matter what plays they run! It doesn’t matter what they do on offense, defense, put the next m———— quarterback in. I don’t give a f—! You send them a f—— message! Who the f— is on our schedule? They have to play you!
“Don’t think we’re letting them play. It doesn’t matter if you’re in a game for one snap or 50 more snaps; you f—— take it out on them! The whole f—— world hates you…you get a chance to show the whole world, ‘Go f— yourself!’”
Many fans praised Kiffin’s mentality and how he urged the players to continue pushing despite being so far ahead in the game. However, many also wondered how and why the talk made it to social media.
One fan urged Kiffin to take action, noting, “Great speech, but Lane Kiffin should kick whoever recorded it out of the program.”
Another fan echoed these sentiments, saying, “Whoever stood in the locker room and recorded this should never be allowed back in there.”
“This s— foul! Whatever happens in the locker room stays in the locker room,” wrote a third fan upset by the violation of trust.
Away from the criticism of the leak, a fourth fan admired Kiffin’s speech, noting, “Aw man, he’s setting up that villain ethos nicely, I don’t think this team should be taken lightly.”
However, not everyone was convinced that Kiffin was upset with the leak, suggesting, “All y’all thinking Kiffin will be mad about this getting released. Come on. This is the s— Lane Kiffin sets up to happen.”
And lastly, one fan just saw the humour in Kiffin’s tirade, writing, “Did he say they’re soft or s—? Either way, it’s funny!”
Kiffin’s speech clearly worked, as LSU came out in the second half like a house on fire. At the end of the first half, LSU had 336 total yards and 21 first downs.
By the end of the game, they almost doubled these numbers, with 644 total yards, 38 first downs. LSU had three more touchdowns in the second half, following up a strong first half where they had four touchdowns and a field goal.
If the opener against Clemson was a sign of what is to come from LSU, the rest of the SEC will be terrified about the prospect of playing the Tigers.
