Penn State football will play a second straight undefeated opponent at noon on FOX.
And make program history again in 2025.
The Nittany Lions will play their first home game in a month on Nov. 8 − taking on the No. 2 Indiana Hoosiers in Beaver Stadium, FOX officials announced Saturday night.
It will mark the first time in school history that the Lions will play the nation’s No. 1 and No. 2 teams in back-to-back games.
The Lions lost to top-ranked Ohio State on Saturday, 38-14, getting blitzed for three touchdowns in the second half.
Indiana, meanwhile, overwhelmed yet another opponent, this time Maryland, 55-10.
Penn State already made history earlier this season by losing back-to-back game by a point for the first time ever.
And it certainly hopes to avoid one more program lowlight: losing seven straight games.
The Lions, who ranked No. 2 nationally in late September, have stunningly dropped five straight for the first time since the opening of the 2020 COVID season. They lost six straight times in 2003 and 2004 and a program-worst seven straight in 1931 under coach Bob Higgins.
After Indiana, Penn State finishes the regular season at Michigan State (3-6), against Nebraska (6-3) and at Rutgers (4-5).
Penn State leads the all-time series with Indiana, 25-2, but figure to be 20 point-plus underdogs again on Saturday in Beaver Stadium.
