Notre Dame moves up the rankings in both the AP Top 25 and Coaches Poll

Notre Dame more than covered the spread against Wisconsin in a 41-13 win, but a slow first half seemingly had some people out there rethinking the Irish as an elite team in college football this season. The new sets of polls have been released, and whatever they were thinking — they still consider Notre Dame to be one of the best teams in the country.

Notre Dame moved up to No. 3 in the AP Top 25. The Oregon Ducks snuck out a victory at home against Boise State, and the voters decided they weren’t worthy of the No. 2 spot and moved them down.

Notre Dame’s opponents currently ranked:

No. 7 Miami Hurricanes
No. 15 BYU Cougars
No. 17 SMU Mustangs

VOTES — Navy Midshipmen

Notre Dame also moved up in the Coaches Poll to No. 4 for the same Oregon reason as the AP Top 25. Not only did Navy get votes in the coaches poll, but the North Carolina Tar Heels did as well.
