AP Poll Week 2: Tennessee football's top 25 ranking

Tennessee (1-0) enters Week 2 of the 2026 college football season. The Vols defeated Furman (1-1), 56-9, at Neyland Stadium in Week 1.
Tennessee entered its campaign ranked No. 20 in the preseason Associated Press Poll. The Week 2 AP Poll was released Tuesday and the Vols are ranked No. 18.
Ohio State is ranked No. 1 nationally and Georgia is highest-ranked SEC team at No. 2. Notre Dame (3), Texas (4) and Indiana (5) are also ranked in the top five.
Tennessee is also ranked No. 18 in the US LBM Coaches Poll after Week 1.
The Vols will next play on Saturday at Georgia Tech (0-1). Kickoff between Tennessee and the Yellow Jackets is slated for 7 p.m. EDT at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
ESPN will televise the nonconference matchup with Bob Wischusen (play-by-play), Louis Riddick (analyst) and Stormy Buonantony (sideline reporter) on the call.
