Big Ten stands by officials after MAC game appeal

Though the debate raged on much further past, when administrative officials for the Big Ten, the Mid-American conference, Michigan football, and Western Michigan went to sleep on Saturday night, the matter of the clock controversy at the end of the game, was considered closed. However, the MAC rescinded its earlier agreement with the Big Ten findings, and opted to appeal to the NCAA and the College Football Playoff.

Now the Big Ten is having its say.

On Tuesday evening, the Big Ten responded to the MAC statement about challenging the findings and trying to overturn the result of the Michigan – western Michigan game , Saying that it stands by its officials.

“The Big Ten stands by the statement released following the conclusion of the Western Michigan at Michigan game and the determination made by the replay officials. We will have no further comment on the matter.”
