NORMAN — It's flip season.

Four-star running back Jonathan Hatton Jr., who was previously committed to OU football before reopening his recruitment and pledging to Texas A&M in March, announced Monday he's flipping back to the Sooners.

At 6-foot-1, 215 pounds, Hatton is widely regarded as a top-five running back in the 2026 class. As a senior at Steele High School in Cibolo, Texas, Hatton has rushed for over 1,300 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Hatton's decision is a significant one as running backs coach DeMarco Murray's unit has struggled with depth this season.

OU now has 22 commitments in its 2026 class. Hatton joins three-star DeZephen Walker as running backs committed to the Sooners' 2026 class.

The three-day National Signing Day period begins next Wednesday, Dec. 3.
