In his first game donning the purple and gold, Jordan Seaton played a large role in helping LSU football start the 2026 season 1-0. The Tigers defeated Clemson 51-10 on Saturday in Baton Rouge. The offense fired on all cylinders thanks in part to Seaton, who earned SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week.

The left tackle had a hand in establishing the LSU offense from the opening kickoff. The unit, in its first game under head coach Lane Kiffin and offensive coordinator Charlie Weis, racked up 335 passing yards and 309 rushing yards. The work started in the trenches and Seaton cleared the way all night.

Seaton came into LSU as an elite pass blocker with room to grow in the run game. It's clear his game took a step forward with how successful the Tigers were on the ground. Quarterback Sam Leavitt and running back Dilin Jones each rushed for 113 yards. The offensive line helped LSU seven on seven of its 10 possessions and punt just twice.

Two years as a starter at Colorado prepared Seaton to compete in the SEC. He came to LSU as the highest-ranked offensive lineman out of the transfer portal and is living up to his hype through Week One.
