The latest AP Top 25 Poll was released on Tuesday, and the Auburn Tigers' 17-16 win over Baylor was not impressive enough to get them into the rankings.
The Tigers picked up two votes in the poll, and wins in the next few weeks could land the Tigers in the top 25. It is one less vote than they received in the preseason, with the Tigers getting three prior to the season.
Auburn has not been ranked in the AP Top 25 since opening the 2025 season with wins over Baylor, Ball State, and South Alabama. The good start resulted in the Tigers climbing to No. 22 before their matchup with the Oklahoma Sooners. Auburn lost that game, 24-17, and fell out of the top 25.
Ohio State remains the No. 1 team after a dominant 56-3 win over Ball State. The Buckeyes will travel to No. 4 Texas on Saturday night. Oregon dropped from No. 2 to No. 6 after a narrow victory over Boise State. For the SEC, Georgia moved from No. 3 to No. 2. LSU moved up three spots to No. 8 following their 51-10 victory against Clemson on Saturday night. The other SEC teams in the AP Top 25 are Ole Miss (No. 9), Texas A&M (No. 10), Oklahoma (No. 11), Alabama (No. 12), Tennessee (No. 18), and Missouri (No. 23). SEC teams receiving votes were Florida (83), South Carolina (19), and Vanderbilt (2).
