Vols looking to extend regular-season nonconference win streak

No. 18 Tennessee (1-0) will play its first road game of the 2026 football season in Week 2 at Georgia Tech (0-1) on Saturday.

Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. EDT at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. ESPN will televise the contest.

Tennessee enters Saturday's game with a 19-game nonconference regular-season win streak. The Vols' streak dates to Sept. 18, 2021. Tennessee's last loss in a regular-season nonconference game was on Sept. 11, 2021 against Pittsburgh, 41-34, at Neyland Stadium.

Tennessee led, 10-0, at the end of the first quarter before trailing, 27-20, at halftime. The Vols committed three turnovers, including two fumbles and one interception. Pittsburgh recorded five sacks and made a fourth-down stop in the fourth quarter.

Hendon Hooker completed 15-of-21 passing attempts for 188 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. He was replaced by Joe Milton III, who suffered a leg injury.

Milton III completed 7-of-12 passing attempts for 50 yards before exiting the game. He led Tennessee in rushing yards (54) on five attempts.

Jimmy Calloway recorded three receptions for 59 yards and one receiving touchdown. Jacob Warren also had one touchdown reception for the Vols.
