Iowa State football adds commitment from Tayten Duncan

Iowa State football added another piece to its 2026 recruiting class, marking the third player to commit to the Cyclones on Nov. 24.

Tayten Duncan – out of Oklahoma – announced his decision on social media on Monday afternoon.

The 5-foot-11, 185-pound safety is a three-star, top-1,000 recruit in the senior class. He is ranked as the No. 17 overall prospect in Oklahoma and the No. 76 safety in the country, according to 247Sports Composite.

Duncan chose the Cyclones over offers from Army, Central Oklahoma, Harding, Texas State, West Virginia and Yale.

He posted an 8-4 overall record during his senior season at Mustang High School, according to MaxPreps. Duncan recorded 90 total tackles – including six tackles for loss and a sack – and returned two interceptions for a total of 77 yards.

He was the third player of the day to commit to Matt Campbell’s program, which also added wide receiver Kash Brock and tight end Arley Morrell. They flipped their commitments from Colorado State to the Cyclones.

Campbell’s 2026 class is currently ranked No. 48 nationwide.
