In case you missed it, this week gave Ohio State their latest recruiting win thanks to 2028 tight end target Luke Sohyda.

Sharing the good news on Tuesday, the Buckeyes added a 6-foot-4, 250 pound athlete that they believe fits exactly the style of tight end they are looking for in Columbus. Ohio State had Keenan Bailey and Arthur Smith on this recruitment, and all has worked out in their favor with his pledge.

The No. 521 player nationally and 45th best at his position per the 247Sports Composite, Sohyda has double-digit offers to his name with Ohio State being the biggest program involved. A situation where the Buckeyes may have found a diamond in the rough before several others, all you need to know about his profile is that this coaching staff more than signed off on taking his commitment.

A 2028 cycle that is really starting to take shape early on, the Buckeyes have the second-ranked class in the nation with just five players in the fold. Plenty of top targets at every position keeping Ohio State right atop of their lists, the idea that this class could be special is taking shape quickly.

Another stable of playmakers for James Laurinaitis, the linebacker room at Ohio State has arguably never been healthier when you look at the development and current roster.

Seeing success consistently, big time players are keeping the Buckeyes in mind. That will include a new name thanks to Wednesday’s offer being sent out to Cyrus Zuah.

Taking to his social media to share the latest update in his recruitment, Zuah adds Ohio State to an offer list that includes over 10 others with Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, and Stanford being some of the notable programs.

A 6-foot-1, 200 pound athlete out of Mount Saint Joseph in Baltimore, Maryland, Zuah is not yet ranked via his 247Sports profile, but as noted, the schools interested show the caliber of talent he is. The majority of these big time offers coming within the last two weeks for Zuah, his stock is taking off and that updated ranking status could be very well in the plans soon.

Ohio State likes what they see here, and the goal now will be to get him on campus to see all that the Buckeyes have to offer at a position they are having a ton of success with.

Quick Hits

Ohio State basketball also doing their fair share of recruiting work right now, the staff was on the trail yesterday taking a look at DeMarcus Henry in-person among other schools interested.

A 6-foot-8, 190 pound small forward, Henry is the No. three player nationally and top player at his position per the 247Sports Composite for the 2027 class.
