MSU football to host 3-star in-state TE prospect on Saturday

Michigan State football will be hosting one of the top in-state prospects in the 2028 class for its home game against Eastern Michigan this weekend.

AJ Henley of Harper Woods, Mich. announced on Thursday that he will be visiting Michigan State for the Spartans' home game against Eastern Michigan this weekend. According to a social media post from Henley, he will be in attendance for the Spartans' home game against the Eagles on Saturday.

Henley is listed as a three-star prospect, with a recruiting rating of 84.50 in 247Sports' composite system. He is ranked as the No. 38 tight end and No. 18 player from Michigan in the 2028 class, according to 247Sports. He is also listed as the No. 787 overall prospect in the class.

Michigan State has not yet extended an offer to Henley, but he does hold a number of other notable offers. According to 247Sports, he holds offers from Indiana, Iowa State, Louisville, Michigan, Maryland, Minnesota, Pitt, Washington, USF and a number of other group of six programs.
