The spread isn't very big, but there's a reason Oklahoma is favored over Michigan despite being the away team. There's talent all throughout OU's roster and head coach Brent Venables is exceptional, especially on defense. Here are five Sooners to keep an eye out for.

1. QB John Mateer

Michigan fans already know about Mateer because of what he did to the Wolverines last year. The 6-1, 224-pounder went 21-of-34 for 270 yards and a touchdown with one interception. He also carried the ball 19 times for 74 yards and two touchdowns. Mateer was obviously a weapon as a ball carrier and Michigan never adjusted or figured that out. Defensive coordinator Jay Hill is very aware of Mateer as a runner and will all he can to keep No. 10 contained.

2. WR Isaiah Sategna III

Against UTEP, Sategna was Mateer's favorite target. He caught four balls for 76 yards and a touchdown. He also had an 88-yard punt return for a touchdown. Oklahoma dominated, so the speedster wasn't called on much on a down-to-down basis, but he clearly made plays when he had the chance. Sategna has world-class speed and can line up all over the field. He's obviously a problem in the return game too so Michigan will have to ID him at all times.

3. DL David Stone

At 6-3, 315 pounds, Stone is an absolute unit. Throw in the fact that he moves like someone 100 pounds lighter and you start to understand why he was a consensus five-star prospect and one of the most coveted defensive linemen to come out of high school in a long time. He plays defensive tackle, so his stats are never eye popping, but he can singlehandedly disrupt an offense all by himself. He's a lock to be a first-round pick because of his size, speed, athleticism and versatility. There's nothing this dude can't do.

4. TE Rocky Beers

Rocky Beers doesn't just have an awesome name, he has an awesome game, as well. At 6-5, 240 he has prototypical size for the position and top-tier athleticism to go along with it. Last week he caught two passes for 43 yards and a score. The touchdown was a 40-yarder, which put his athleticism on display as he hurdled over a defender into the end zone. He's a problem for linebackers and safeties so it'll be interesting to see how Michigan defends him. 

5. LB Cole Sullivan

Last but not least is former Wolverine linebacker Cole Sullivan. The defensive playmaker doesn't actually start for the Sooners, but he will play and he's got a knack for making things happen. Current Michigan players all said that they are anxious to see Cole again, but they won't be happy if he's around the ball all the time like he was when he wore the winged helmet.
