Pitt will look to build off its explosive season-opening performance when the Panthers return to Acrisure Stadium on Saturday to take on UCF.
The Panthers opened the 2026 campaign in dominant fashion, cruising past Miami (Ohio), 59-14. Quarterback Mason Heintschel tied a Pitt single-game record with seven touchdown passes, while the Panthers' 59 points marked their highest-scoring season opener since 1992.
UCF launched the new campaign with a 73-6 win over Bethune-Cookman. Running back Duke Watson led the Knights with 110 rushing yards on just seven carries.
