Navy rolled to a 42-15 win over visiting FCS Towson last Saturday as quarterback Braxton Woodson rambled for 200 yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries to lead a running game that piled up 506 yards and six scores. Jackson Gutierrez scored two TDs and Vic Listorti, who had 81 yards on 11 attempts, also got into the end zone.
Florida Atlantic fell into an early 17-0 hole and never really recovered in a 66-21 loss at Florida last Saturday night. Caden Valtkamp threw for 276 yards and a touchdown while also running for a score but also threw a pair of interceptions. Kelby Valsin caught 10 passes for 92 yards and a TD while Ethan Ervin scored a touchdown on the ground. Leonard Farrow rushed for 51 yards on 10 carries and Ervin had 50 yards on 16 attempts.
The Midshipmen are 3-0 all-time against the Owls after a 42-32 win in Annapolis, Maryland, on Oct. 25. Navy finished an 11-2 season in 2025 with a 35-13 win over Cincinnati in the Liberty Bowl after losing a three-way tiebreaker for a spot in the American championship game while Florida Atlantic comes off a 4-8 mark last season.
