Texas A&M is a finalist to land elite 2028 5-star wide receiver

Texas A&M's 2028 recruiting class has taken center stage, as coach Mike Elko and his staff focus on fully utilizing the six remaining home games during the 2026 season, despite potential flip candidates in the No. 1-ranked 2027 cycle.

After hosting 150 prospects in the 2027, 2028, and 2029 recruiting cycles during the Aggies' season-opening 50-0 win over Missouri State, Saturday's early home matchup vs. Arizona State will also serve as another key recruiting opportunity. One of the standout five-star prospects in the 2028 class, wide receiver Braylon Clark, is on the Aggies radar, along with every blue-blood program in the country.

While LSU and new head coach Lane Kiffin have made strides, especially after blowing out Clemson 51-10 in Week 1, Braylon Clark is reportedly considering 12 programs, including Texas A&M, after releasing his top 12 list of finalists, which includes Ohio State, LSU, Tennessee, Miami, Indiana, Texas, Alabama, Oregon, Clemson, South Carolina, and USC.

At 6'3" and nearly 190 pounds, Clark is currently heavily predicted, according to On3's prediction machine, to land with Ohio State, which makes perfect sense given the Buckeyes' background in developing top-tier future NFL wide receivers, but under first-year OC and former wide receivers coach Holmon Wiggins, Texas A&M's four WR commits in the 2027 class prove that Wiggins continues to recruit the position better than most.

It was revealed last month that Bralyon Clark will visit College Station during Texas A&M's home contest vs. Arkansas on October 3. During his sophomore season at the Providence Day School, Clark reeled in 65 receptions for 1,093 yards and 14 touchdowns.
