College football rankings after Week 2: Updated Coaches Poll, AP Top 25 for Big Ten

After an exciting, and occasionally controversial, Week 1 of the 2026 college football season for the Big Ten, Week 2 had even more in store.

In perhaps the most highly anticipated non-conference game of the season, No. 1 Ohio State fell No. 3 Texas, 24-23, after enjoying a 23-3 fourth-quarter lead in. It was the first time in Ryan Day's history as a coach in which he lost a game after leading by 20 or more points.

In another stunning result of the day, No. 6 Oregon fell 39-31 on the road against Oklahoma State, a team coming off a two-score loss to Tulsa and a program that the Ducks beat by 66 just 12 months earlier.

Michigan, meanwhile, bounced back from its chaotic and hotly debated Week 1 win against Western Michigan with a stout defensive effort and an improved showing from Bryce Underwood in a 17-10 victory against No. 10 Oklahoma, the Wolverines' first statement win under first-year head coach Kyle Whittingham. After the 13-12 win against the Broncos, will a victory against a top-10 opponent be enough to get Michigan back into the top 25?

Elsewhere, No. 5 Indiana blew out Howard 55-0, Minnesota was drubbed by Kamario Taylor and Mississippi State, Illinois lost 31-27 to Duke and Washington eked out a 16-14 win vs. Utah State.
