The Ohio State football program suffered an absolutely devastating defeat on Saturday. Ohio State lost a close game against Texas despite being up by 20 points entering the fourth quarter. Now analysts and fans from around the nation are letting the Buckeyes know just how disappointing that loss really was.
American sports commentator Skip Bayless did not hold back when talking about Ohio State after their big loss in Week 2.
“That game was 23-3 after 3 quarters. THE Ohio State should be ashamed – coaches and players,” Bayless posted on social media after the game.

Ohio State surrendered 21 unanswered points during the fourth quarter. It was the largest fourth-quarter rally for a winning team going up against an AP No. 1 team, per Sportsradar.
The Buckeyes were in complete control for most of the game. Julian Sayin and Jeremiah Smith got going early, with Smith logging 110 receiving yards before halftime. Despite the hot start, Ohio State only managed three points throughout the entire second half.
Ohio State coach Ryan Day did not feel good about coming away with a loss. Especially after the Buckeyes dominated for most of the game.
“I felt, you know, we had them on the ropes and didn’t finish,” Day said after the game, per the Associated Press. “So we got to go back and figure out why that was.”
Now the former No. 1 team in the country must wait to see how far they fall in the polls this week.
Hopefully the Buckeyes can use that result as motivation to go on a winning streak. Fortunately, their next matchup looks like a real cupcake.
Next up for Ohio State is a home game against Kent State. That contest kicks off at 12PM ET on September 26th from Ohio Stadium in Columbus.
