Penn State Rises to 14th in the AP Poll

After solidly defeating Temple, the Nittany Lions rose slightly at the No. 14 in the Associated Press ranking, and climbed to 15th in the Coaches Poll.

Penn State gets through the second week, and is joined in the rankings by fellow Big Ten teams Indiana (No. 4), USC (11th in Coaches, 12th in AP), Iowa (18th in AP, 20th in Coaches), and Michigan (19th). Former No. 1 Ohio State dropped to 6th after their collapse at Texas, and No. 6 Oregon fell to 18th in the Coaches and 21st in the AP after their upset loss at Oklahoma State. Washington narrowly avoided a setback against Utah State, and fell to 24th in Coaches and out of the AP altogether.

The Nittany Lions take on Buffalo Saturday at noon on BTN.
