Texas Longhorns jump to No. 1 in AP Top 25 after Ohio State comeback

Texas football is the new No. 1 team in the nation. The Longhorns climbed to the top spot in the new AP Top 25 ranking after Saturday night's historic comeback win over Ohio State. The Buckeyes fall from the top spot to No. 6 after giving up a 20 point lead in Austin.

The Longhorns are also No. 1 in the US LBM Coaches Poll. Texas ascended three spots in the poll, jumping over No. 2 Georgia and No. 3 Notre Dame. Indiana and Miami round out the top five. After Ohio State at No. 6, the rest of the top ten is all SEC, with LSU, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Alabama ranked seven through ten respectively.

After a stunning loss to Oklahoma State, the Oregon Ducks have fallen an amazing 15 spots. The Ducks, who started the season at No. 2, are now ranked No. 21. Oklahoma's loss at Michigan also hurt the Sooners ranking, falling 13 spots to No. 24.

There are nine SEC teams ranked in the Top 25. The Big Ten has seven ranked schools, the Big 12 and ACC each have four.
