Michigan football announces kickoff time, TV channel for Iowa game

Michigan football has played at 7:30 p.m. EDT, noon, and will host UTEP at 3:30 p.m. this week on Big Ten Network. And that appears to be the first of two straight midday kicks that the Wolverines will have here.

With the Week 4 Iowa game having been up in the air as to the time it will air, networks made their choices and now we know when the Wolverines and Hawkeyes will kick off. For the second straight week, Michigan will have a 3:30 p.m. EDT start, but against Iowa, the game will be broadcast nationally on CBS according to an official release by the program.

It's not unheard of for Michigan to have a Big Ten opener on CBS as such. After all, when USC came to town in Week 4, likewise for a stripe-out game (as is this matchup), it was the primary Big Ten game on CBS, as well.

The last time that the Wolverines and Hawkeyes played was in the 2023 Big Ten Championship Game in Indianapolis. Michigan has a 45-15-4 advantage over Iowa, and has won the last four, with two being in the Big Ten Championship.
