BYU football reveals uniform combination for Colorado State

BYU football hits the road for the first time in the 2026 season.

Kalani Sitake's team has to feel good after pulling out a win over Big 12 foe Arizona on Saturday. They'll face an old opponent in Week 3 for the only trip to Colorado this season.

The 11th-ranked Cougars will be in Fort Collins to square off against former Mountain West rival Colorado State. When BYU takes the field at Canvas Stadium, they will be sporting an all-white uniform combination. This is quite possibly one of the cleanest looks of the Big 12's highest-ranked team.

On Monday, the Cougars posted their uniform for Saturday’s game against the Rams on social media. They will wear a white uniform with navy blue numbers, along with a white helmet and facemask. This will be the second game in a row BYU has worn the same lids for a game. They wore the white-on-white helmets during Saturday's game against Arizona. The Cougars opened the season against Utah Tech with an All-royal helmet with royal blue jersey and white pants.

The last time Colorado State hosted BYU was during the 2010 season. The Cougars are riding a seven-game winning streak in the series going back to 2003. The teams were longtime conference rivals before BYU went independent in 2011. They've played 68 times in the series, but this is the first time since BYU joined the Big 12. The Cougars lead the series over the Rams 39-26-3 going back to 1922.

Colorado State has started to make noise in the Mountain West behind former NFL coach Jim Mora Jr. The Rams are 2-0 with wins over Wyoming (35-13) and Southern Utah (58-24). Oklahoma State transfer QB Hauss Hejny has thrown for 539 yards with nine touchdowns and an interception.

The Rams have lost 24 straight games against AP Top 25 ranked opponents with the last win against No. 7 Colorado at Mile High Stadium 19-14 on Aug. 31, 2002. The last time a ranked BYU team was upset by CSU came in 1994 in Provo.
