LSU football linebacker TJ Dottery is off to a blazing start in 2026. According to PFF, Dottery is the top-graded linebacker in college football through Week 2. Dottery's 94.8 defensive grade is two points better than the No. 2-graded LB.
Dottery was a member of LSU's loaded transfer class, following head coach Lane Kiffin from Ole Miss. Now on his third school, Dottery is one of the most experienced linebackers in the SEC.
Per PFF, Dottery has made seven stops, forced two fumbles, and notched a pass breakup. Dottery has been effective as a blitzer, recording seven pressures and one QB hit.
So far, Dottery is a perfect fit for Blake Baker's scheme. Dottery has the explosiveness and speed to be an effective blitzer up the middle, and he looks like he's improved his ability to fit the run, too.
Dottery, like a few other LSU players, will face his former team this week when LSU travels to Ole Miss. It will be LSU's toughest test yet of the 2026 season. The LSU defense has passed every test so far, holding Clemson and Louisiana Tech to a combined 285 yards.
