The Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to defensive lineman Christian Mays, who is the nation's top-ranked Junior College (JUCO) defensive lineman. Mays has been committed to the Tennessee Volunteers since June 6.

Mays is a big-bodied defensive lineman that plays for Northeast Mississippi Community College. The 6-foot-5, 340-pound defensive lineman is a sophomore and is ranked as a four-star recruit. The talented defender is the No. 2 JUCO recruit in the country. Mays is from Denver, Colorado.

The Tennessee commitment has 10 tackles and a forced fumble in three games this season. Last year, Mays posted 17 tackles and a sack in eight games played.

Mays is Tennessee's only defensive line commitment in the class of 2027. The JUCO standout is a big piece of Tennessee's recruiting class, which is ranked No. 22 in the country. The Volunteers and coach Josh Heupel have 19 commitments in the 2027 recruiting cycle.

"Blessed to have earned a scholarship offer from the University Georgia!" Mays said via social media.
