4-star RB commit praises relationship with Washington football staff

During his time at the helm of the Washington Huskies, Jedd Fisch has emphasized building strong relationships on the recruiting trail, which is something that has paid off in a big way for his coaching staff.

One of Washington's biggest wins in the 2027 class was the pledge of four-star running back Jeremy Adeyanju out of Sandra Day O'Connor High School in Arizona, who chose UW over 18 other offers, including California, Florida, and Michigan, and a sizable push from USC, based on his relationship with the Huskies.

"Honestly, the coaching staff," Adeyanju told Sports360AZ's Eliav Gabay about why he chose the Huskies. "The coaching staff's amazing, the players are amazing; when I first took my visit there, I felt the most welcome there by the players, the coaching staff, and everyone."

The effort on that visit in March, which earned his commitment, further solidified his relationship with running backs coach Scottie Graham, who has proven to be one of the top recruiters on Fisch's coaching staff.

"I feel like I call or text him every single day," Adeyanju added about his relationship with Graham. "That's my guy right there, hang out with each other, call each other, text each other every week, every day, just checking up on me and seeing how I'm doing."

The 6-foot, 215-pound Adeyanju, who is ranked as the No. 199 overall prospect and No. 15 running back in the 2027 class by Rivals, looks like he could be an early contributor in Washington's backfield once he arrives on campus.
