Big Tigger addressed the dismissal of aggravated battery and child cruelty charges during an Instagram Live, saying his history worked in his favor.
Big Tigger waited until the case closed before saying much of anything. Then he logged onto Instagram Live.
The Atlanta radio host, whose legal name is Darian Morgan, opened by announcing the outcome himself. “They got them charges dropped,” he said, before steering viewers toward the paperwork rather than his own account.
He noted that the Fulton County District Attorney had issued something unusual, “Usually they don’t put out a public declination. This is a public declination. For all the reasons.”
He encouraged followers to look it up directly, saying, “I think you should Google the district attorney and the reason she declined my charges. It’s all there, like the entire story.”
Court documents obtained by TMZ confirm the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office declined to pursue aggravated battery and third-degree cruelty to children counts, ending the criminal case involving his estranged wife, Alicia Brown.
His tone ran loose enough that he checked himself mid-stream. Gesturing at his hands, he explained where his wedding band now sits. “I still wear it on my right hand now because I married the wrong hand,” he said, laughing, before adding, “Trying to behave. My publicist is going to get on me.”
The reflection that carried the most weight concerned public perception. Tigger said the experience taught him that people believe what they want to believe, and credited three decades of public history with carrying him through.
He thanked those who stayed, then dismissed those who didn’t.
“People who wasn’t, they wasn’t going to do it no way. They’re not really here for me anyway, so it’s not even a loss.”
He followed that with a caveat: “I do keep notes though. Oh, there’s a lot of people on this list.”
When someone in the comments asked about dating, he was brief. “No, I’m going to need a minute.”
The charges stemmed from a May 9 confrontation at the couple’s Sandy Springs home following a weeks-long dispute over text messages between Tigger and a female co-worker.
Brown alleged he tackled her and later pushed her into an office door, leaving a cut above her left eye that hospital staff considered severe enough to call police. The cruelty count involved the couple’s 13-year-old son, who was upstairs. Tigger was arrested June 20, bonded out the same day and stepped away from his V-103 morning show.
Ring camera footage became the most disputed evidence, with competing clips offering different readings of the struggle. Tigger denied every allegation from the outset.
The broader legal picture remains unsettled. Brown was later arrested on kidnapping and custodial interference warrants out of Baltimore tied to a 2019 case and has sued Fulton County Sheriff Patrick Labat over the stop. Separately, V-103 co-host Francesca Amiker filed a federal defamation suit against Brown.
