Ohio State dishes out latest offer to talented 2029 linebacker

Ohio State will play host to Kent State this weekend, and it’s likely to see this team take out a little frustration. Needing to right some wrongs and get back on track, there’s a lot to be seen from the Buckeyes.
That said, it’s a home game and recruiting will be a priority. Obviously not the most high-profile contest this Saturday, it’s still a chance to play host to recruits and the coaching staff will do just that.
The first goal will always be coming away with a win and a sign of improvement, but another goal this weekend will be to show a great time to the prospects taking time to see the Buckeyes up close and personal.
Ohio State offers new name at LB
Though last weekend’s result in Austin, Texas was every negative adjective imaginable, the youth in Ohio State’s linebacker room showed tons of positives.
Further proof to the development the Buckeyes are providing thanks in large part to James Laurinaitis, the top recruits in the country are taking notice. Ryan Day talked about the younger guys seeing increased roles soon, and that has to excite young prospects. Along that line, there’s a new name worth watching thanks to a new offer.
Looking ahead to the 2029 class, the Buckeyes got busy this week when they offered Utah native Kingston Stroshine. Taking to his social media to share the latest news in his recruitment, the 6-foot-1, 205 pound athlete adds to his already impressive offer list of nearly 20 schools. Michigan, Oklahoma, Penn State, USC, Washington, and others in the mix, Ohio State is the latest to get in line.
A three-star status on his 247Sports profile, Kingston does not yet have an official grade, but does check in as the No. 2 linebacker per Rivals. His last month shows the caliber of player he is with the attention he’s attracting, it’s easy to see why Ohio State got involved.
From here, the goal is always getting these players to campus to see all that the Buckeyes have to offer, but stay tuned to this name moving forward as the latest Laurinaitis has his eye on.
