The Oregon Ducks played their best all season, dominating the Portland State Vikings in an 84-0 win.
The Ducks had 12 different players reach the end zone in the win while holding the Vikings scoreless.
Oregon entered the season as one of the best teams in college football, but they barely beat Boise State in Week 1 and had a shocking upset loss to Oklahoma State in Week 2.
That dropped the Ducks from one of the highest-ranked teams in the country to 21st. However, with the execution on both sides of the ball, Oregon is proving that they still have the potential to be a contender for the National Championship.
Quarterback Dante Moore had a strong performance, but only appeared in the first half, completing 19 of 23 passes for 280 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions.
Transfer quarterback Dylan Raiola took over for Moore and proved he could be effective as the starter next season, completing all 11 of his passes for 124 yards and three touchdowns.
Evan Stewart led the receiving room with three receptions for 72 yards and a touchdown, while Messiah Hampton had six receptions for 71 yards and two touchdowns.
The other beneficiaries of Moore and Raiola's touchdown passes were Dakorien Moore, Kendre Harrison, and Brady Bidwell.
On the ground, the Ducks were also effective, with Jordon Davison finding the end zone twice and rushing for 81 yards. Brandon Smith, Tradarian Ball, and Dierre Hill Jr. each added a touchdown.
The defense also played at a high level for Oregon, with Jett Washington recording two interceptions and Davon Benjamin adding another. Linebacker Gavin Nix also recovered a fumble for the Ducks.
While there is a clear talent gap between Portland State and Oregon, it was important for the Ducks to come away with a blowout victory after struggling in the first two weeks of the season.
It was a masterclass on both sides of the ball for Oregon, and they will look to build on the momentum heading into a challenging Week 4 matchup against the USC Trojans.
