No. 8 Texas A&M enters Week 3 at 2-0 after blowing out Missouri State and Arizona State by a combined 98-20, as the Aggie defense dominated in the second half of both wins, including two pick-six scores from Edge Marco Jones and cornerback Julio Humphrey in a 24-point fourth quarter against the Sun Devils.

While A&M's defense dominated both games, the offense has struggled, totaling just 255 yards against ASU. Starting quarterback Marcel Reed threw for 163 yards and three touchdowns but also threw his first interception and struggled to stay consistent in the pocket. This starts in the trenches, where four new starting linemen on the offensive line have yet to put together a complete game with few issues.

Still, the Aggies made the necessary "winning plays" when it mattered on both sides of the ball, and while the passing game is expected to improve given the NFL-level talent at wide receiver, new OC Holmon Wiggins and OL coach Adam Cushing will need to work together to fix a run game that totaled 92 yards and averaged 2.6 yards per carry against ASU.

This week, SEC play begins in Kyle Field, as the Aggies will host Kentucky on Saturday afternoon, but will likely be without two key offensive playmakers after the latest injury report revealed that sophomore running back Jamarion Morrow and wide receiver Ashton Bethel-Roman are listed as "doubtful" with a 25% chance to play.

Texas A&M holds nearly every statistical advantage and will look to run the ball better against Kentucky's 59th-ranked run defense, while connecting on more explosive 20-plus-yard passing plays, even if Ashton Bethel-Roman is sidelined.

Ahead of the matchup, enjoy Texas A&M's new hype video, which will surely get you fired up before the 2:30 p.m. kickoff, airing on ESPN.
