Ole Miss fans drown out Lane Kiffin interview with NSFW chants

“College GameDay” traveled to Oxford, Mississippi to experience the atmosphere in The Grove ahead of the LSU-Ole Miss game on Saturday night. Ole Miss fans did not disappoint as they made signs and noise reflective of their hatred of former coach Lane Kiffin.
The fans started the anti-Kiffin rhetoric early with a crystal clear “F— Lane Kiffin” chant minutes into the ESPN broadcast.
Later in the show Kiffin actually joined the “GameDay” crew for an interview. Unlike current Rebels coach Pete Golding, who was the defensive coordinator under Kiffin for three seasons, Kiffin did not go on stage for his interview. Instead he did a video call. ESPN made sure to put video of Kiffin on a large screen and the fans immediately started booing. Then they picked up the “F— Lane Kiffin” chants.

Of course, you can’t just chant the same three words over and over for the whole interview. Which is why the fans eventually switched to an “a–hole” chant.

Kiffin was safely inside while this was all happening, but the walk into the stadium ought to be interesting later.
Ole Miss and LSU split the six Magnolia Bowls during the Kiffin era in Oxford. This is the second year in a row that both teams are entering the game undefeated. Last season Ole Miss won 24-19 on their way to the College Football Playoff.
