‘Has Always Been a Loser,’ ‘Sick of This’ — Calls Mount for Cincinnati to Fire HC Scott Satterfield After ‘Unacceptable’ Showing vs. Miami (OH)

The Cincinnati Bearcats got off to a hot start in the 2026 season, beating Boston College and thumping Western Carolina. But it’s not looking pretty for the Bearcats in Week 3, and fans are sick of head coach Scott Satterfield as Cincinnati trails in-state opponent Miami (OH) by double digits.
Calls Mount for Cincinnati to Fire HC Scott Satterfield
Cincinnati should not be losing to Miami (OH) at all, let alone as the home team. They trailed as much as 28-7, but in the fourth quarter, they still trailed by 10 points. Bearcats fans are embarrassed and want Satterfield gone.
“Scott Satterfield is in year 4. He has UC losing to Miami (OH) by two scores at home. Unacceptable, man. He took over a program that made the College Football Playoff. Sad,” said one fan.
This is not what Cincinnati fans want to see. When Satterfield took over, the team had recently been one of the top teams in the nation. Now, they are struggling to beat their rivals.
“It’s embarrassing to be a Bearcat. You’ll never see a dime with Satterfield as coach,” said one fan.
One fan even threatened not to watch Cincinnati football next season if Satterfield is not fired by next year.
“One of two things will happen after this season: 1. Scott Satterfield will lose his job. 2. I won’t watch a snap next season. I will not be alone, John Cunningham (AD at Cincinnati). We are sick of this,” said one fan.
This performance is doing anything but instilling hope into the Bearcat faithful about how their season will turn out in conference play.

The Big 12 is no joke and will eat up the Bearcats if they can’t clean up their mistakes. It’s by no means over against Miami (OH), but being down as much as they were has embarrassed the fans enough.
“SCOTT SATTERFIELD IS A LOSER. HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN A LOSER. HE WILL ALWAYS BE A LOSER,” said one fan.
“For the love of God let the Scott Satterfield era end,” said one fan.
While most fans were melting down, calling for Satterfield’s head, one fan responded humorously to the unfolding disaster.
“Scott Satterfield trying to get into his office after this debacle,” said one fan with an accompanying image.
The Bearcats cut the deficit to just a field goal halfway through the fourth quarter. Cincinnati should win this game, and the deficit was just a way to put themselves in a hole. But it’s not encouraging that they’re in a dog fight that Satterfield needs to get them out of.
Their next game against Kansas State won’t be easy, and if they play like they did today, they will be embarrassed completely, and Satterfield’s seat will keep getting hotter.
