Tennessee will host Ohio State five-star commit for Texas game

2027 five-star defensive end DJ Jacobs and 2028 four-star defensive lineman Dawson Jacobs will visit Tennessee for the Vols' football game against No. 1 Texas on Saturday, according to Steve Wiltfong of Rivals.
The brothers are from Blessed Trinity Catholic High School in Roswell, Georgia. They are sons of former Georgia defensive lineman David Jacobs, who was coached by Tennessee defensive line coach Rodney Garner.
247Sports ranks DJ Jacobs as the No. 1 player in 2027 and Dawson Jacobs as the 2028 No. 15 defensive lineman and No. 15 player in Georgia.
DJ Jacobs visited Tennessee for one game during the last three seasons. He committed to Ohio State on Dec. 29, 2025. The Vols offered Dawson Jacobs a scholarship during a visit for the 2024 Tennessee-Alabama game.
West Virginia was the first school to offer Dawson Jacobs a scholarship on Oct. 1, 2024. Other schools to offer him scholarships include Florida, Florida State, Kentucky, South Carolina, USC, Central Michigan, Texas A&M, Texas, Purdue, LSU, Georgia Tech, Miami, Nebraska, SMU, Georgia, Oklahoma, Auburn, Oregon, Arkansas, Kansas, Alabama, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Virginia Tech, Vanderbilt, Clemson and UCLA.
Quarterback Kaden Craft is Tennesse's only 2028 commitment.
