Florida: College Football Insider Argues Ole Miss Won't Play Well on Saturday

Florida Gators head coach Jon Sumrall claims he doesn't understand it, but there are good reasons to think No. 4 Ole Miss will walk into "The Swamp" in a vulnerable position on Saturday.
The Rebels are coming off one of the most important wins for their players and fan base, knocking off former head coach Lane Kiffin and LSU in Week 3. No. 21 Florida is 3-0 and offers Ole Miss a serious challenge to reload this week before a hot and humid contest in Gainesville.
On his show this week, Joel Klatt said he doesn't envision a scenario where the Rebels play well. Ole Miss will likely suffer a letdown after beating LSU in Week 3.
Ole Miss has no problem. Star running back Kewan Lacy is likely not going to play against Florida. He's been a key part of the offense, rushing for 191 yards and four touchdowns on 39 carries (4.9 yards per rush). Lacy is dealing with a shoulder injury.
If Lacy had been available, it would have been an intriguing battle of running backs. Lacy and Florida running back Jadan Baugh are two of the best running backs in the country. Lacy put up 224 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the Gators last season.
Klatt did argue that Trinidad Chambliss could make a big difference for Ole Miss in the contest. He's been one of the best quarterbacks in college football so far this year, and he'll provide a touch challenge for the Gators defense.
Byrum Brown had a big day against Florida last week, throwing for 271 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception while adding 65 yards and a score on the ground. That should concern Florida because Chambliss is capable of putting up even greater numbers, and he'll be asked to if Lacy does not play.
Ole Miss head coach Pete Golding is aware of the pint Klatt is making. Earlier this week, he made sure to tell his team that it would be a waste for them to think that LSU was their Super Bowl, and throw away all the hard work that they did in training camp by suffering a loss against Florida one week after taking down Kiffin.
Still, we're talking about 18-year-old athletes here that are dealing with schoolwork in addition to football. While Golding's focus is on Florida, it'll be a challenge for his players to get up for Week 4.
