Ole Miss football is riding a new wave after toppling LSU on Saturday. Head coach Pete Golding, though, has the Rebels shifting focus toward Florida. And that’s where Joel Klatt sent an ominous warning to the nation’s No. 4 ranked team Thursday.
The Fox Sports analyst and former Colorado quarterback delivered a big take ahead of the SEC showdown. And his first words will catch the attention of fans in Oxford and those who pull for Ole Miss.
“I don’t see a scenario where Ole Miss plays well,” Klatt began on his podcast. “They were way too high. There’s got to be a come down from what Ole Miss is going to give us this week.”

He believes the Rebels have one “saving grace” on their side.
“So their saving grace is they have Trinidad Chambliss. Florida can run the football. [Running back] Jadan Baugh is excellent. I think he’s one of the best, if not the best, back in the country,” Klatt said.
Klatt adds that he doesn’t like Ole Miss’s chances with Kewan Lacy’s pending health. The Ole Miss standout back left with a shoulder injury in the 32-24 home win over LSU. So Golding may need to lean into JT Lindsey for this contest.
So Florida is brimming with confidence in breaking into the top 25 already under new head coach Jon Sumrall. The No. 21 Gators aim to fill up “The Swamp” in Gainesville plus use this game to catapult back into the SEC title/College Football Playoff conversation. An upset certainly elevates the Florida brand again. Klatt clearly is riding with Florida here.
