Ohio State adds another pair of 2028 prospects to Illinois guest list

A week full of updates regarding who will be on campus this weekend, Thursday was no different as additional names were added to the guest list for the conference opener on Saturday. Not having to travel far for this visit, Ohio native Brydon Feister will be on site for the chance to see the Buckeyes up close and personal.

A Massillon Washington product, Feister is a 6-foot-3, 210 pound athlete that is likely to play defensive end at the next level and has all of the physicality you could ask for in a player his size. The No. 666 player nationally and the 55th best athlete in the 2028 class, Feister is a three-star per the 247Sports Composite.

Holding 20 offers to his name, schools such as Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, Oregon, Penn State, and more have joined Ohio State as programs to give him the nod.

The younger brother to Brayton Feister, who is committed to Oregon, this family clearly has the football gene and Ohio State seems interested at keeping him home for his college career. No easy task with big brother being at another program, the Buckeyes will have him here this weekend. If the visit goes well, you can bet he’ll be back with how easy a trip this is to get to Columbus for game days.

Next on the guest list worth mentioning, Ohio State will have Alabama native Joey Fleming on campus Saturday, and this is a major win for the staff to get him to Columbus. A 6-foot-5, 280 pound offensive tackle, Fleming is the No. 37 player nationally and the fifth best at his position for the 2028 class per the 247Sports Composite.

Offers from every major program in the country such as Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Texas, and several others, it’s easy to see why the Buckeyes also offered and are excited to host him for this unofficial visit. Making the trek on his own dime certainly says something and Tyler Bowen will make sure he leaves feeling all of the positive vibes the Buckeyes boast about.

Offered back in March, this isn’t Fleming’s first time to Ohio State, and that right there shows the interest he has in the Buckeyes. Two trips within just months of each other is a solid position to be in as Ohio State, but the goal is to have him leaving more impressed than before.

Trips to Clemson coming up as well, Fleming is going through the process weighing all of his options, but Saturday is Ohio State’s turn to leave a lasting impression.

One tight end in the 2028 class already locked in thanks to Luke Sohyda, Ohio State and position coach, Keenan Bailey are far from done it seems. Prioritizing additional players at the position for the upcoming cycle, the name to keep watch on right now is in-state prospect Landon Dawson.

A 6-foot-4, 210 pound athlete, Landon is the No. 309 player nationally and 16th best tight end in the class per the 247Sports Composite. Putting up some stellar performances thus far into his junior campaign, the Buckeyes have taken notice and already dished out their offer. Now the goal is to get him in as part of this class.
