Kentucky Wildcats News: Momentum for UK Football under Will Stein

Kentucky football has had two quarters of “bad” football this season.

Other than those 30 minutes of disappointment, the Wildcats have been absolutely spectacular.

They came out in their season opener against Youngstown State and handled business, as they should.

Then, they took a halftime lead and physically dominated No. 10 Alabama before those 30 minutes of shame happened.

However, they quickly picked themselves up off the ground and were prepared to hand a certified butt whooping to No. 9 Texas A&M on the road last weekend.

Now, they’re in position to cruise past South Alabama tomorrow with the opportunity to fuel some momentum ahead of next week’s matchup against South Carolina.

Not only is he having big success on the football fied so far, but he’s also lighting up the recruiting trail.

Stein has landed a quarterback of the future in three star prospect Marcus Washington.

In the 2029 recruiting class, Washington was recruited by the likes of Arizona, Arizona State, Michigan and North Carolina but chose the Wildcats as his preferred destination to chase his dreams.

Washington is one of several transfer portal along with high school recruiting wins Stein has had since arriving in Lexington.

Stein clearly has an “it” factor, is beloved by his players and has an ability to connect with them.
